The idea that whether housing in horizontal or vertical areas is more beneficial remains a source of controversy. While some individuals say they prefer to live in a horizontal environment, this essay would like to claim that it is better to live in high-rise construction areas.
To start with, the horizontal city has its own distinct advantages. First, service expenses in their accommodations are not as expensive as in the vertical city. Since protection or elevator charges are not included if they are only located in a double-story building. Second, it is widely recognized that everyone is able to easily save from emergencies such as fires, building collapse and avoid elevator accidents. Moreover, the comfortable and spacious living space in the vertical central centers contributes greatly to providing an enjoyable life that helps to release tension and stress.
On the other hand, the first benefit is that vertical areas can solve the problem of a shortage of housing due to the population explosion in urban centers. In fact, there are more and more multi-storey apartments where hundreds of civilians can experience the common environment instead of single-dwelling in detached private homes that make up a large part of the residential area. Another benefit is that a wide range of goods and services such as rental offices, shopping malls and cafes are linked together in many skyscrapers everywhere. For example, a large number of apartments in Ho Chi Minh City are used not only for residential property but also for commercial purposes as commercial stores or gymnasiums, as shown in some examples, which will create comfort for housing at the maximum price.
