Whether or not someone achieves their aims is mostly by a question of luck. To what extent do you agree or not agree.
Many people argue that luck is attributable to anybody’s success, and their own hard work. I totally disagree with this opinion, too.
First, some people believe it takes dedication and tremendous effort to be successful. For example, before inventing a variety of creations Thomas Edison had struggled continuously hundreds of times, in which the light bulb is the most common invention. The scientist could not hold many different patents without his infinite patience and hard work, which had a remarkable influence on our daily life. Steve Job, who continued to pursue his dream despite being thrown out of his own business, is another case of success through persistence and passion. Passion and determination led him to spend thousands of hours coding and experimenting to eventually create a new operating system that transforms the technology world significantly. Thus, the key features to succeed are enthusiasm, dedication, and hard work, which show a greater importance than chance.
Second, chance makes only a small contribution to the achievement about someone. There is very little hope for the student who prays every night to pass the exam to complete the test completely without any research or analysis. The student must at least study hard on some key issues, and luck does the last if the question in the test relates to what he learned. In lottery situations, however, it is clear to conclude that chance is clearly the reason why one person becomes a millionaire overnight. Nonetheless, the almost zero percent chance of winning a lottery clearly shows that luck comes only with a small chance and can’t be the answer to everyone’s success.
